Open access refers to the practice of providing unrestricted online access to peer-reviewed scholarly journal articles. By offering free online access to its content, the journal enhances its visibility, potentially attracting a wider readership and increasing citations for articles published in Zibeline.
Benefits of Open Access:
- Enhanced visibility and readership
- Increased citation potential
- Free access for researchers worldwide
- Broader dissemination of research
After the payment is received, the author will receive the uncorrected proof of the article for proofreading and typesetting corrections. The author should then submit their requested corrections via email.
Once the editorial team receives the author’s proofreading corrections, the necessary changes will be made promptly. The article will then be published within one day, initially appearing in the Articles in Press section of the journal’s website. It will subsequently be included in an upcoming issue of the journal.
Once the article is published, no further corrections can be made, as it will already be available online and indexed in various databases.
Yes, all Zibeline journals publish articles as Open Access. Anyone can download the PDF version of an article from the journal’s individual archive pages at any time, free of charge.
The printed version of a specific journal issue can be requested by contacting the journal’s Chief Editor via email. To receive a hard copy, payment is required. Payment details will be provided in response to your request. Hard copies are available not only to authors but also to anyone from academia or industry.
The Impact Factor (IF), also known as the Journal Impact Factor (JIF), is a commonly used metric for ranking academic journals. Journals with higher impact factors are generally regarded as more prestigious and influential within their respective fields. The Impact Factor represents the average number of citations received per article published in a journal over the previous two years. It is widely used by academic institutions and funding agencies to inform decisions on promotions, tenure, and research funding. However, it has faced criticism for encouraging practices that may compromise scientific integrity and quality. The Impact Factor is a scientometric index calculated by Clarivate, based on data from its Web of Science database.
You can find the online application form under the "Publish a Special Issue" tab, available in any of the main menu sections. Please complete the form, and all further communication will be handled by the publication office.
WCM charges an Article Processing Fee (APC) of $1000. This fee enables WCM to offer open access to all published articles, ensuring broad dissemination and accessibility. The APC is intentionally kept at a minimal level to promote inclusivity and encourage submissions from a diverse range of authors. It covers essential publishing services and supports the continued operation of the journal. The APC is payable by the author upon acceptance of the article for publication.
